The role of the Shop Supervisor is to ensure, through the supervision of staff, and through self-engagement, that all devices requiring pre-delivery installation are properly assembled, tested, and prepped for shipping in a timely and efficient manner. This includes coordination with the logistics and operations departments to effectively stay on schedule. This supervisor must also be technically sound and proficient in order to properly diagnose and repair non-functioning equipment and/or damaged equipment. Additionally, as time permits and situations warrant, the shop supervisor will be required to provide field technical support (at customers’ locations) for devices for which a technician or service manager has requested assistance. Additionally, the role will be the first level triage support for all locally used devices within the corporate offices. Lastly, The Shop Supervisor is responsible for interviewing of shop candidates; and the coaching, counseling, and developing of all shop personnel.
