MPS Associate Technician – Entry Level

Job Summary:  The MPS Technician is an entry-level position designed to prepare the employee for a career in servicing and repairing office equipment at customer locations, usually within a specific geographic area. This role entails extensive classroom and on-the-job training in support of Centric’s MPS contracts.

Essential Functions:

  1. Tag MPS Printers with ID Numbers and Centric Logo as required
  2. Print Configuration pages for use in obtaining data for meter collection
  3. Assist with obtaining manual meters
  4. Deliver Supplies and Parts for MPS Customers as required
  5. Assist with implementing our recycle program for MPS
  6. Test and resolve units not reporting on FM Audit
  7. Load print drivers as required
  8. Install and service printers as needed
  9. Inspect supply storage at customer site. Ensure that overstock supplies are returned to Centric

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Visits customer location and completes our Centric equipment and network site survey with help-desk support
  2. Inspect all physical space and electrical requirements and works with the customer to ensure they are in compliance before the equipment is delivered
  3. Works with the Warehouse Manager and delivery team to develop an installation plan and delivery manifest to include key details about the installation.
  4. Follows company programs, policies, procedures and guidelines
  5. Maintains productive, professional relationship with all Centric personnel.
  6. Ensures overall high level of customer satisfaction with both internal and external customers.
  7. Maintains and manages parts inventory.
  8. Responsible for servicing and safekeeping of assigned company property and assets.
  9. Completes all required administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  1. High school diploma
  2. Associates degree in electronics, IT, or equivalent industry related experience desired.
